Collaborate on the teaching of practical knowledge to active oil industry engineers to improve the hydraulic operation, safety and reliability of the national oil infrastructure.

Project Engineer – Hazardous operations study of an oil transport system.

Led a multidisciplinary team of engineers on the gathering of information of an active oil pipeline through an extensive field campaign, and developed software tools to evaluate risky conditions on the hydraulic operation of the system.

Project Engineer – Hydraulic safety study of a parallel oil pipeline.

Developed hydraulic models to simulate the response of the system to several operating scenarios and proposed mitigation strategies.

Molina Center for Energy and the Environment

MILAGRO Campaign 2006 - Data manager for urban sites.

Administered the collection, backup and exchange of the field campaign data for urban sites. Designed visual media for the communication of the campaign goals and achievements for a non–technical audience. Also, collaborated on the import process for all the scientific equipment used on the campaign.

PEMEX Refinación

Internship on Hydraulic analysis and operation control.

Performed a preliminary analysis of the operating conditions of several oil transport systems.

SKILLS

  • Self–taught, highly motivated and avid learner, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional experience in the use of Hydraulic Modeling Software (WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, Hammer).
  • Ample experience on the use and extension of scientific applications (Mathematica, ArcView, MS/Excel).
  • Proficient on several programming languages, including: Perl, Python, C/C++, Java, SQL and PHP.
  • Highly efficient use of design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and information structuring skills.
  • 100% fluent in English.
